Roof rack part needed!
Hi all, recently went through a carwash and it ripped the front crossbar of my roof rack completely off. I found a new crossbar, but there is a bracket that fits between the crossbar and the long track that the **** tightens down to. I've tried local toyota, local lexus, etc and no one can come up with that bracket. Any ideas? The car wash is willing to replace with an aftermarket, but the only one I can find is the perry craft and it is not recommended for vehicles with a sunroof (which I have)...Thanks for any help!

There are 4 parts. The slat. The end piece of the slat. (the end piece is screwed on the slat with phillips screw.)There **** with screw to tie it town. The 4th piece is the one that stays in the track.
The 4th piece has a metal piece which mates with the **** threads.
Which piece are you missing.

I need the small piece that sets into the track (4th I think)...The crossbar seats into the slots on this piece and then the **** tightens everything down. This piece is screwed down with two star head screws...Hope this helps...

Your best bet is salvage yard or some one here in CL who has removed the roof rack.
If it is the small square metal piece that mates with the hold-down big screw, a machine shop can manufacture one for you. Open up other 3 and some parts are inter-changeable, so a machine shop can manufacture the broken one.
If it is the hard plastic part, then salvage yard or talk to some one who can make a mold.
Salim.
ps: I have never taken my vehicles through a car wash and no one should (imho)
