For some reason my factory remote will not arm the car. Usually you will hear a beep to confirm the doors are lock but when i lock the car with the remote, it locks the car and doesn't make a beep then a few seconds later one or 2 of the doors will unlock and the others will stay locked. I checked all the doors to see if they were closed including trunk, hood and gas cap?

anyone know whats going on??

Most of the strange problems go away by resetting the ecu [disconnect the battery for about 15 minutes] ... your seat and radio settings will be lost.

Good (expected) behaviour:
If any door is ajar, the lock function wont work and if the key is in ignition, then the remote would not lock. <- this is kind of complicated to explain.

In any case try the reset and if it does not work, sit inside and try locking while keeping an eye on the door ajar warning in the dash.

Any electronic oddity should occasion a look at the battery as well, how old is it?
