Default High Idle (Help)

I just purchased a 1999 RX 300 front wheel drive and love it.

I wanted to change out the rear coil packs as it had a miss reading on my OBM monitor.

I bought a manul manual and beagn removing the componets to get to the rear coils.

Changed coils and plugs all the around and found three vac leaks and I repaired them with new hose.

Bought a new manifold gasket and began putting it back to together.

Now whn she starts she runs great but I can not get her down below 3,000 RPMs. I even disconnected the throttle linkage and still the same result.

It idled and ran fine before she just had the miss fire on cyc 3.

The only other thing I did was clean the throttle body with throttle body cleaner.

I used to get the misfire code on number 3 before I did the job now I get no codes.

I marked and put everything back were it belonged and have double and triple checked all my connections and vac lines.

Does anyone have any suggestions.

Thanks much,

John

Welcome to Club Lexus! Congratulations on the purchase, you won't regret it!

I suggest looking over for any disconnected vacuum lines for a forth time... lol.
I have a feeling you might have missed a vacuum line, this has happened to me on another car, and it took me damn near 6 tries to finally find the disconnected vacuum line. haha

check the IACV, make sure it spins (not stuck) and assembled properly.

Default Found my problem but have a question

I found one vac line disconnected and the IVAC was carboned up and stuck,

I freed it up with carb and throttle cleaner and it works fine now.

Question is it suppose to spin all tghe way around or does it have stops.

I can turn it freely in both directions with no drag or binding but it only goes so far in either direction and it stops.

Thanks everyone.
