After, i changed the sensor, and oil. I went to clean the throttle body. Once, I took the hose off of the air filter box, I looked through the left side of the tube, and saw some sort of liquid. Not sure what it was, oil, or even worse coolant. In fear that I might uncover something that I didn't want to, (spent enough money this month on other things) i connected the hose back.

So do you guys have any idea what it could have been, or what that means? It could have been fuel too, I guess... lol. I couldn't take a picture as it was pretty dark.

When we had carbs, the planes would have heaters to keep the venturi heated to melt the ice.

Probably oil residue...that's part of how the crankcase ventilation system works recycling vapors, etc. from crankcase back into the combustion cycle (emissions) so it can be burned.

I tried to get a picture but it was rather dark. Oh well, next time I open her up I'll grab a few pictures. It runs fine, but the main reason i was going to do the throttle body cleaning is because of a low idle occasionally, around 500rpm. I already cleaned the MAF.

Ok, i just cleaned the throttle body. And that liquid was engine oil. It was pretty dirty inside the plastic tube, so i cleaned it out with gasoline. I cleaned the throttle body, put it all back together and now it idles at 900rpm in drive. And 1200-1300 rpm in park.... Don't know what i missed, maybe there's still some cleaner in the IACV cause i did spray into that hole.

I checked and didn't see any hoses disconnected. Any ideas?
Also, do you think my pvc valve is clogged because of the oil in the air filter tube.

My expectation is to see a brown crust and NOT liquid. Can you please elaborate?

There was literally oil gunk in the left part of the plastic pipe that goes into the throttle body. I rubbed my hand on the inside of the pipe and I felt oil. It definitely came from the rubber hose covered in the extra rubber...

Also, is the idle high because I didn't reset the ecu by disconnecting the battery? Will it eventually adjust?

Did you let things dry and waited enough time for the cleaner to evaporate. The idle will be high if un-metered gasoline went past the throttle or something is wrong in the re-assembly.

Probably flooded the IACV, but I would think it be awhile for it to dry. Try letting the car run for awhile as the vacuum from the engine may help the drying process, if not you may have to disassemble the IACV and let it air out.

I didn't let it dry for long maybe 5 min. tops. I probably flooded the iacv. Well, I'll know tomorrow morning on my way to work.

Ok, the idle is back to normal, I guess the IACV was just flooded. 1200 in park when cold, about 750 when in drive.
