Toyota ATF is better than BP, Shell or Valvoline ?
Hi, I read most of the posts that suggest to use original Toyota ATF. Would you please give me a reason? I found bigger brand names' ATF have more features, such as stop leak, anti-wear, and protection on high temperature. I am not sure how good that Toyota ATF preforms on those features, but I think aftermarket are better.

The reason most of us recommend Toyota Type-IV, is that it was specially forumlated for this transmission and other's may feel more confident using something that say's Toyota on the bottle.
Another reason Toyota Type-IV is recommended or at least was recommended was for warranty concerns. But, most of the RX300's are probably out of manufacture warranty by now.
For example, I use castrol multi-vehicle import ATF because it's a synthetic blend (quicker shifts, more protection) , compared to the toyota type-iv which is a convential fluid.
