Thumbs up

Thanks to all who posted here, I just bought a 2003 RX300 and on the 3rd day it wouldn't start. I was told everything from alternator to starter failure, and after finding this site, I was armed with enough information to begin with the battery and end up with just replacing the battery. This site is going to be such a help!

Question Hi all, battery questions again, please experts?

Everyone was a big help with my RX300. Bought a 2010 RX350. Left the hatchback up all night. Battery dead, called AAA. The jumped it, and tested it. Said I had a dead cell. Has 70k miles on original battery. Need to buy another. Have read the thread about after install, maybe losing memory etc. I need battery recommendation (Walmart? Sears? or Lexus?) and model/strength if anyone can tell me. AND PLEASE, tell me if there are any gotchas! Do I need to have someone do something so memory is not blown out, redo windows, NAV concerns, anything the gurus have found out. Thanks much, as always.

My first Interstate battery lasted 7 years, and only succumbed to several run downs by way of kids leaving the door cracked over a few days. The next one made it only 2 years, but again, the dang kids kept leaving the door open. A battery can only survive so many total run downs. The interstate store gave me a hefty credit toward my next one, and the kids have learned how to properly close a car door.

Very impressive especially considering the type of heat the battery has to put up with in Texas.
