Rx 300 fuel filter
I'm new and need some information. My wife has a Rx300 1999 and is having some running problems. Someone suggested a bad fuel filter. Is there is fuel filter other then the one in the tank? Some threads have suggested a fuel filter by the real left wheel. But the auto parts store don't show one. Whats the deal? is there a fuel filter I can replace?

RX300 Fuel Filter
Well, I was thinking a problem with the timing belt. Went to the local yocal and I described the problem, and he was the one who suggested the fuel filter, which sort of made sense. The problem... wife floored the gas pedal to catch a friend and the car would only do 60 mph. Then this weekend, it would run ok but then pause and then start going again and of course start running really rough. Here are the codes... 171, 1130,1135, 1136, 1354, 300304, 306.
Any suggestions? I don't have the tools to check the fuel pressure

That's a lot of codes, I would reset the computer and wait for a code to pop back up and see what the first one or two look like and go from there. I doubt it has anything to do with the fuel filter. Lexmex is the king of codes on here, hopefully he will check in with some more advice.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but unless someone purposely put crap in your gas tank or you've been filling up with really dirty gas, it's extremely uncommon for the gas filter in the tank to become clogged (at least on these vehicles).
As previously suggested, have the codes reset and then wait for the CEL to pop back on. Immediately take the vehicle to an auto parts store and have them read the codes for you (it's free of charge because they are hoping to sell you parts).
