2001 rx300 heat doesnt work right

I just replaced the mode and air mix servos. The mode is easy, the mix is a real pain. I got the top screw out with a needle-node vise grip. Taking out the bottom two first gives you a bit more movement on the servo body which helps wiggle it loose.
There are good instructions in this forum.
I bought the servos on-line from Lexus of Pembroke Pines. The price for both servos, including shipping and a service charge, was about $260. My local dealer would not match that price.
good luck.

The top screw on the mix servo is definitely a pain. I used a very thin 2 inch flat screwdriver bit stuck between the blocking pipes and turned with a needle nose vice-grips. Once you have it out it's worth opening it up and cleaning/re-greasing the internal contacts. That's all I did and it's worked fine since.
BTW... You can test whether the servo works (arm moves) after cleaning without remounting by just plugging in the harness, starting the car, and changing back and forth from hot to cold.
