Default Need help - O2 sensor mount

The bolts that hold the O2 sensor (the one that mounts between the catalytic converter and the muffler directly under the driver's side floor) rusted off and the sensor is no longer held in place. Apparently there were studs that projected from the mount and nuts held the sensor in place. How hard is it going to be to remove the old mount and install a new one? I'm thinking a modestly competent exhaust shop can do this, at a fraction what the dealer will charge. Any words of wisdom? TIA.

The dealer and any large shop would replace the piece and not mess with trying to fix it.

The other options are to fix it in place or fix it by removing the part out. One the piece is out on the bench a lot more fix options are available.

I would suggest examine the whole exhaust system for rust. I suspect there would be more places where the rust has caused problems. You may have to replace parts instead of multiple patch repairs.

If you find a salvage yard with exhaust components, please send me a pm. I am looking for wu-twc.
