2002RX300

Hey all, I can't seem to figure out how to remove the door handle on the drivers side door (don't want to pull too far out and break the plastic rod holders). I have all the inner door paneling removed and looks like I'll have to remove the door handle and disconnect the two rods leading to the actuator. What is the best method of removing/disconnecting these two rods for removal of the door lock actuator?

I did the SC so most likely the same process will apply.

You do not need to remove the handle.
the rods pass through a hole and you will see plastic surround .. this helps glide the rod at the connector. The plastic has a portion that reaches over the rod and locks on to it ... this prevents the rod from slipping out. You have to flip the plastic clip up and free the rod. Once flipped up the rod comes out of the hinge.

The front door has the key lock mechanism along with the door release handle.

This is why I think the piggy back solution is the most convenient way.
