Question Exactly how rare are Coach Edition RX300s?

I've only seen 2 others driving around here in the SF Bay Area, both of which are gold. How many Coach Editions were made? Are any of the colors more limited than the others?

Post 6000 Coaches Produced

I read online at "Automotive Intelligence News" that there are 6000 total Coaches produced. These are split between the 3 available colors (Burnished Gold, Crystal White, Graphite Grey), I am not sure of the color split, I have been guessing they did 2000 each. The Graphite Grey is the only color exclusive to the Coach edition.

When I was shopping for mine, the biggest dealer around had 2 of each color in stock, 1 of each with Nav. and one without.

Here is the link to the story I read this from.

I bought mine 2 months ago, I am about 30 minutes outside NYC, and I have still not yet seen another one on the road.

Default Rare Editions

Even though I like the graphite gray, you have to consider what would happen if you needed the paint for it after a while? Better to go with more easily replacable parts etc

Personally, I like my Black/Black SilverSport because apart from cosmetic changes it has a sport tuned suspension and is tighter on curves than regular RX. I dont think the Coach editions have any non-cosmetic differences HEHE

At first, I was thinking the same thing. What if I have a hard time replacing parts? But then I started noticing a bunch of regular gold and white RXs....and I want to be at least a little different....so I started to consider the graphite. Once I sat inside one...well...there were sparks

Aren't cosmetics what girls (like me) really care about anyway?

BTW...other than silver and black, what other colors of SilverSports were there? I have to admit...they were the reason I 1st fell in love w/ the RX. Unfortunately, I wasn't going to get a car anytime that year. Luckily for me, however...when I finally did get a car, they had another Limited Edition RX available.

Thumbs up How many female members on the board

RinnDogg, it's cool your representing' for the opposite sex. Are there any other female RX enthusiasts posting here? Although I'm male, it's good to see there's some diversity flowing through.

Are you sure it did'nt have anything to do with those beautiful Coach bags inside? I think that was how I sold my wife on the more expensive model. hehe

As a Coach lover, they were a definite plus, but I already had the small black bag, as well as a bigger version of it. The travel bag is beautiful though. But, I had already decided that if I was going to get an RX, it would be a Coach Edition. Looking back, I don't know what I was thinking even considering that terribly designed ML:eek: At least I didn't go for all the cars my friends were suggesting (the guys wanted me to get an IS300 or a G35 sedan; the girls wanted me to get a C-Coupe--ugh)

I am in the other direction. In Rockland County, right near the NY/NJ border.
