Default Got my shiny new '01 RX300 back today!

I decided to do a mid life fluff job on this car and keep it another four years. The headlights were totally fogged from the hot Texas sun so I ordered some Eagle Eyes for replacements. I didn't realize what a safety feature the halo rings really are, very hard to miss in daylight!

The calipers came out beautifully, Jason Phan of JP Imports, Garland Texas did an outstanding job. He took the calipers off the car and did three coats over a 48 hour period. The detail is superb as well, it looks as good as an original 10 year old Lexus can look.

X2, it looks amazing! Great work keeping it clean! Any interior shots? I especially love the headlights.

This is the driver's seat, the worst part of the interior, the rest looks new.

Lights lok great. People still pull out in front of you even with the drl. Think of how the calipers would look with the car in silver.

Of course, I considered silver as well as black, red, white, blue and every other color of heat resistant paint available. Silver would have been a particularly poor choice due to the proximity of the chrome wheel. A little contrast was required. Black, blue, white didn't work with the color of the car and interior (tan) as well as yellow and red do. Red is common as dirt and just a bit jarring with the palette I had to work with so yellow it is.

Those headlights look great. Were they easy to install and would they fit a 99? On the site, it says they only fit 2001 and beyond but I thought the 99 and beyond all used the same light assembly.

I had my mechanic install them and he was *****ing about it but that might have been to justify the 1.5 hours. I really don't know the structural difference between a 99 and an 01 but I've seen that situation before.
