Easy way to find part numbers?
I don't have a Lexus dealership nearby...but a Toyo. dealership is about 30 miles away. I called for a PCV and was told that unless I had the part number they couldn't order it b/c it was a Lexus part?!?!
Anyone know the part. no. for 2002 RX 300 PCV? Grommet too? I searched here and online in general and couldn't find it.
I'm trying to avoid going to Lexus, as I purge $$$ everytime I cross the threshold.
Thanks in advance.

I usually call tampa bay lexus. I order my lexus parts online through www.parts.com, which send the order to them and they are the dealership that ships it out. Every time I call the give me all the part numbers I need so I could order them through parts.com.

I get some part #'s from here: http://www.*******.com/parts/g_U_200...-AWPGKA_1.html
or just order online from here: http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...layCatalogid=0
What's up with that? A blocked site?
Insert t o y o d i y without the spaces where the *'s are

Thanks for the replies...it does seem awfully difficult to figure out part numbers (I still can't figure out what the part no. of the PVC is). I'll post it after I buy in this next week!

Valve-sub assy, ventilation: 12204-20040
Grommet (for ventilation): 90480-18001
No wonder why I couldn't locate PCV...it's known as the valve sub-assy, ventilation?!?!
Anyway, thanks. I'll update this at the end of the week w/ my results.

Are you sure there is a grommet for the screw in type? They used both types of valves in 2001. I'm guessing that the metal one just threads right in to the valve cover.

So from 99-12/00 is plastic.
1/01 - 2003 production datel RX300 is a metal screw.
So the OP just needs the PCV (metal screw type) and not the rubber grommet.

That's right Nad1370, I drive an '02...I tried to put an open wrench on the PCV earlier, to no avail (I didn't have the new one, so I wasn't that interested in prying it off). It appears to be the same one - screw in. I guess it sits in the grommet? Do you guys/gals replace that at the same time?

Ok you motivated me, did mine today. Part # for the screw in type is correct & no grommet.
The spring clamp is very easy to release by hand and slides up the hose easily. A 19mm or 3/4" open end wrench is the best tool for the job. Takes 10 minutes or so. The old one was not that tight, but use a little caution when you break it loose so that you do not snap off the nipple for the vacuum hose that is adjacent to the wrench. Other than that it's a piece of cake. Mine was still rattling around good but looked like it was full of crap. Cheap insurance for a car that is known to sludge up.

carguy07...part number was correct - I changed it out today - old one rattled, but was gummed up a bit. Glad you advised 19mm AND 3/4" open...I used the 3/4" open primarily. Not much working space, but got it done. Saved $50 I guess! Agreed, cheap insurance.
