i have one and i didnt know , but when i flip my hood theres a sticker that says remote start.

well i played around the buttons..and i got it to start with the factory remote by pressing

unlock and then holding lock till it starts and it started. i dont know for sure how to unlock it

I haven't heard of this either. Are you sure it isn't a aftermarket system installed to work with the factory remote control?

It appears Lexus is now offering remote starts as an accessory:

They also have it for the LX.

Sewell sells it for something like $225.

I doubt if it can be retrofitted to First Gen RX.. seems like an extension of push button start.

I have an integrated remote start in my vehicle. Its the DEI 551t, its title a remote start add-on for factory alarm systems. It works well and I use my lexus remote. Only thin is that you have to give up one of your lexus master keys for it to work.
