Thanks for asking Lexmex, I went by a shop and explained my problem, I left the car with him and an hour later he called and said he was looking over the car he hears a vacumn leak, pulled out a stesascope and says i need a intake manifold gasket, he also proceeds to tell me someone cut a bracket to the motor in this area? Have you ever heard of someone doing this and will it be a problem in the future?

Why did you think replacing 1 a/f sensor would fix the lean codes on both banks?

As I said in an earlier post:
Check for vaccum leaks in the intake side: hoses, plenum gasket, etc...
This would have saved you $ rather than buying an A/F that you don't need.

There are 3 gaskets for the intake.
1 is a plenum gasket (metal) between the intake manifold and the plenum itself.
2 intake manifold gaskets. in between the intake mani and the cylinder heads.
Which one(s) have the leak?

There are 2 brackets behind the intake plenum supporting it. Which one is he talking about?

Damn if you didnt nail that on the head, I think the one on the left, Could that be a problem in the future?

He said I had 2 places where I was sucking air, the intake manifold had a leak and the gasket it looks like who ever put it in before I have owned it dropped it in sand first since it has sand looking particals sticking to it everywhere. He said I was also missing O-rings on 3 fuel injectors , He charged me $171 today...... How long do you think it really took him?

The reason I changed only one A/F sensor is when I did that to my Sc it worked when I had some problem? I did not need both and I thought one of the first steps was to change the sensor. Wasted money I guess.

Well, the plenum is held down with 2 bolts and 2 nuts. Supported by 2 brackets in the back. I think the one bracket on the left has a hook at the end of it.(I think to hook a chain there for lifting the engine out)
I probably won't be worried about it too much unless a 500lb. raccoon decided to nest there

He said I was also missing O-rings on 3 fuel injectors ,
Well if you were missing injector O-rings, there would be a fuel leak present.

If he did all 3 gaskets, that's an awesome price + o-rings. But if he just did the plenum one I guess that's not too bad of a charge either.
Probably the same amount you spent on that A/F huh?
Can't say how long the job would take cause I haven't done one.
I'm thinking a couple of hours for the plenum gskt and o-rings.
