Default How much ATF fluid is replaced with rear main job

I had my rear main seal done last year....How much ATF was changed??

It looks red and smells sweet....have not changed it since...it has been 20K...

I had done two drain and fills prior to the seal job

Rear main seal is just for engine oil.

Are we talking about another seal, perhaps the one around the transmission pump like I had to do about 2 years ago?

It needs to be separated from the engine to get the rear main seal.

The seal is in the first picture, flywheel then goes on top of that area, then you can see the area where the tranny links up to the engine, the torque converter on the tranny and the tranny without the torque converter. However, they may have drained the tranny if they removed it given there are transmission lines hooked up to the transmission cooler. Technically, if you are removing the transmission to get in here, you would want to drain it.

I just did my ATF yesterday and assuming they just trained the transmission plug it's going to be about 4 quarts.
