Default Heated Seat Not Working

Here's the situation.... the driver's side heated seat cushion (bottom) is not working, however the seat back warmer (lower back) is working. The passenger's side is fine. Looked under the seat to see if the snow brush accidentally disconnected a wire, but didn't see anything loose.

Any ideas? I'd figure if it was a fuse, the entire driver's seat wouldn't heat along with the passenger's as well if they were on the same circuit.

Looking forward to a warm posterior again.....

Heating element is burned out. Replacement needed, not sure if you can buy them sepaerately, check with your local stealer.

A good uphostery shop should be able to replace the seat cushion element only.

Thanks for the recommendations. I was affraid it would be the element. Priced a new one out, they are surprisingly expensive!

Yes, the Lexus element will be expensive but you can use an aftermarket one at a fraction of the cost.

Or buy a factory one online from one of the online dealers advertised here. When I bought them about two years ago, the lower cushion element (part # 87510-48011 -- same for L or R) retailed for about $410 and cost me $307 plus shipping from mylexusparts.com. It's a time-consuming job, but doable. You need some hog ring pliers and a special Lexus tool to fasten the seat heater onto the back of the upholstery. It uses little plastic things like the ones which attach price tags to clothing.

Should cost an upholstery shop about $50 for the element (aftermarket) and $100 to replace it.

I am reading here about an element but my turnknob to activate the passanger side doesnt light up. Does anyone know if there is a particular fuse for just the passanger side?
