Default Anyone have seen this problem on a RX 300 ?

Hi everyone,I was wondering if anybody can give me an advice regarding my wife's car RX 300 '99. First she noticed that the remote control didn't work , but because it happened in the past, she just lock the doos manually. Minutes later when she was in a parking lot ready to leave the car and the keys were in her hand she noticed some lights (TRAC Off, ABS, and some other lights were blinking intermitently like a short circuit) and made a noise similar with the car alarm but softer. She got concern she turn on and off the engine which worked properly. At one point the whole dash board had the lights on,exacly like when someone tries to turn on the ignition, but the keys where in her hand. The car runs perfectly when the keys are in the ignition though. When I take the key out of the ignition the ABS light is blinking on/off(like a short circuit ) and is very dim.I should add that about a week ago her car was towed for illegal parking. Could they have messed up something while towing the car?
Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

I dont think its your fuel injector cleaner b/c I put fuel injector cleaner in my 2001 rx300 and also in my 2003 is300. The only thing I can suggest, which could be a quick fix is to disconnect your negative battery cable for 10 minutes. Hook up your battery and see if the problems till persists.

You can get funky stuff like this happening when the alternator/battery is bad. (I had it a while back when they forgot to tighten the alternator belt and it just wasn't turning the alternator).

My first thought would be to just change the battery and see if the problem goes away. Batteries are cheap enough for it to be a cost effective way of troubleshooting. You're probably about due for a battery anyway, right? But the fact that your car was just towed makes me suspicious. Did they gain entry to tow it? If so I wonder how they did.

Some times the "strange" behavior can be fixed by resetting the electronics by battery disconnect for 20 mins or so. Warning ,,, this also clears the personalized settings of radio and seat.
