Default Black box under the chasis rear driver side !

What is this black box under the chasis at the rear of driver side ? Is it possible to move this thing other place? It becomes obstacle for installing the dual exhaust on my 2000 RX 300.

I believe this is part of the EVAP system, the charcoal canister.

I know the crafty guys I knew back in Mexico who did muffler work could have gotten the piping to go double to fit this exhaust system that you bought.

Thanks Ron. I was disappointed how to install the dual exhaust in my RX. Yesterday i went to Meinke muffler, mechanic told me that left side exhaust obstacle by the black box may be the canister inside. I have the piping but the left side black box has the problem. I spent almost $458.00 dollars for this but i don't know how to move the black box or any ideas to install this. Thanks to Thomas of Austria and Habeeb89.

The only thing I realistically think you could do based on what I saw of your pictures (and what I know underneath mine) and that of Thomas' in Austria is to somehow mount the canister between the two mufflers parallel to them. I think there is a wire/hose on the far left side that might need to be extended as shown in the small orange circle in the second picture.

Barring that. one might be able to put the mufflers at 45 degree angles to the end of the vehicle (as shown in the last photo), but of course the muffler tips wouldn't look quite right.
