Default rx 300 evaporator

Is there an online source for details on evaporator removals and installations ? Does it require removal of dash or just glove box ??

Why do you need to replace it? They're right, it's a huge amount of work. I used to replace dashes every now and then, as a result of theft damage. No one else wanted to do the work and I was always up to a challenge and it paid pretty good. When you do them fairly often, you learn the tricks to making the job easier, but if I only did one a year or so, I wouldn't care for it at all. Air tools made it a lot easier than if you had to do it all by hand. Good Luck!

Thanks for your response, wanted to know cause evaporator has a hole in it an thought there might be an easy way to replace it !! Guess not ! I used to install A/C in New Honda's at dealer back in the day, not afraid to do the work but retired now and got rid of all the cool tools !! No A/C.....time for a new car.

Well,if your RX is still in good shape maybe a reputable shop down their can give you an estimate. Wont harm to see how much they would charge.
