I liked the idea of 20's, but then without a drop the rubber looks way to skinny for my taste. I don't want to drop this one because we want to keep some utility in it for the winters when we're up in MI. Plus these rims/tires mounted and balanced only cost $475 (the tires have ~500 miles on them, so I was pretty happy with the deal!)

haha, my wife doesn't quite have the big pimptitude of sgv_bum! 18's will allow her to still run over pot holes and other fun things without worrying!

Very nice.

I have actually seen in HyperRev magazine someone go as far as even taking RX330 bumpers and putting them on an RX300, but I agree with rims alone this looks good.

How/where did you get the deal on the rims and tires for $475? I assume that is $475 per wheel/rim, right?

It does look cool. I have a 2000 RX300 with the chrome rims but they don't look this cool.

Default new wheels & tires

I have 20" x 9" Zinic chrome Mazzotti wheels on 275x40x20" tires with 35mm offset on my '02 RX300 and fills the wheel gap fairly well. There is no clearance problems or rubbing issues at all. Quite the improvement in handling and stability.

Nope, $475 for all 4. We found the rims and tires from two different people on craigslist and then got them mounted and balanced (rims = $225, tires = $200, mounting and balancing = $50).

I think it looks really nice. I'd rock those also. I'll look out for some wheels too.

i like the wheels on the car but i think the tires are a bit small. They don't fill out the wheel well as much. All in all, very nice RX.
