ECT Snow (RX300 2002 model AWD)
I tried to switch on the ECT snow during this summer days and it improved my mileage at about 2 mpg. My question, is there any adverse effect to the transmission in using this constantly? Although I do not have the torque, since it saves me fuel I dont mind. This may help others too if they want a little improvement in their mileage. Originally I get an average 20 MPG, now getting average 22 MPG

Won't hurt you. Just make sure you do regular tranny fluid changeouts.
Conversely, I have known people who have gone the other way and have had PWR on the whole time, those that I have known have not had a single issue with their tranny to date. Two of those people were people who I met in Mexico who had lived there, one in Mexico City (worked at embassy for a brief period of time) and another in Guadalajara. Both high altitude cities and insane traffic.
I usually used SNOW down there when I was in rainy weather, and psychologically I had more reluctance to want to slam on the accelerator when I did this, thereby improving MPG.

The ECT Snow switch cut out the first gear, so that you start up in the 2nd gear. Essentially you launch somewhat slower. Using it too often may lug your engine and cause damage in the long run.
You can achieve the same gas saving by driving gently.

Sounds similar to the comfort/sport setting in my wife`s 06 C-280.When you have it in c-mode it cut`s out first gear also. When I used my snow mode last winter,I noticed how much slower the take off was.In her car the German engineered 3.0 isn`t affected as much (in power) as our 3.0`s are.
