Here, Gilberto applies the fiber to the passenger side.

Now, after taking a siesta and eating my Aunt's delicious fish/rice dish, it is time to put on the filler.

Now my uncle and I had to go out for a bit and Gilberto was going to work on my RX while I was gone, but he decided to start with the big Ford Cargo van that we were working on at the same time. Here, he mixes the filler with some color additive for the Ford van. The coloring we to distinguish areas where more damage has occurred from other areas, to make sure that when we paint that area gets a bit more paint than others, to fill in any uneven/porous areas.

Now, here is that Ford van and if you see on the bottom of the corner and front bumper area we used some of that combined coloring/filler on some areas that had some damage.

Now I have had some damage over the years in some areas. This one on the rear bumper is one in particular. And this was rather deep, so mere sanding won't help.

Gilberto spotted it and added the filler. Though we didn't use coloring in this case, given the background is black. What he does is spread it out on the back and then smooths it down with a sander.

And we did the same on all four corners, front passenger side.

The other thing we did was put some primer on the area, in part because I will be using my truck for the next two days until I can bring it back on Monday, and we want any uneven areas sealed.

Here Gilberto demonstrates the way we sand down and smooth out the filler on the front passenger side.
