Default Where is the block heater located?

Hi all,

I bought a used 2002 RX300 without block heater (I couldn't see the plug-in at least). Anybody knows where it might be located, i.e. where should I take a look at if it's installed or not?

Thanks in advance,

Peter

If you don't see the power cord, I'd say you don't have one. I didn't think it got that cold in California. Do you live in Los Angeles or San Diego ?

I don't think it was a factory option, but rather would have been dealer-installed. From past experience living up North, the choices are an oil pan heater (better for the engine) or a block (coolant) heater (to get heat to passengers faster), or both.

On the other hand, I think you'll hear from forum members who live where it really gets cold who will say you don't need either. I myself got by for many years without heated seats and can't see why people love them. After all, you've got a coat on anyway.

I think poeple like the heated seats, cause the leather can get pretty cold.On the other hand, your butt warms up the leather by the time the seat heater really kicks in anyway.
