Exclamation MY 00RX 300 vibrates at 65 MPH

when i purchased my car it came with 20" wheels and tires and at 60+ heavy vibration.. So i purchased stock 16" and now i have little vibration still.

The 16" i had them balance the wheels + tires so i know its not the 16" wheels

Could it be my alignment?

any help is appreciated.

A very common problem is the actual harmonics of the vehicle itself. Unfortunately I'm not sure what you can do about it, but perhaps the pros might have some suggestions.

Rim size has almost nothing to do with it ... other than larger rims require more delicate balancing. I have heard that Hunter machine gives better results.

This is again one of controversial issue. I am of the opinion that it is due to lack of proper balancing. Some say that lack of alignment causes shakes (my view is only if the things are loose).

I would suggest take the RX back to the shop who did the balance and if needed take the tech for a test drive.

If your wheels are not torqed properly/unevenly it will do that (I have first hand experience on this) try removing each wheel, installing nice and evenly, dont over tighten them, and see if that was your problem. In other words,If they started tightening your wheels by torqing down on the first lug nut, etc.then your wheel is installed unevenly.

Misalignment usually causes straying and travel of the steering. If the vibration is from the wheels and you feel it in steering wheels, I'd say it's more likely the balance. Make sure you get all four wheels re-balanced and tell the shop that did it the problem.

Did you take the tech for a ride afterwards?

Was any work done on the drive half shafts/rotors etc that can make them off rotational balance?

If your iner cv joint(tripod)is going bad,it will do what you describe, especially if you are on the gas.
