191,000 miles
1999 RX300

Original transmission
Original Motor

Through the life of the car we've replaced:

- O2 sensor (both)
- Transmission valve/actuator (can't remember part, but it was around $150 and i installed it myself)
- EGR valve
- CV Joints (both sides)

We frequently tow a 3,000lb trailer without any issues. New struts and regular maintenance. I also chance tranny fluid every 30k miles to make sure its happy.

Man, what a great vehicle.

Default More miles to travel

My 2000 RX300 currently has 254k miles on her, and I'm looking forward to many more memories. I purchased her 4 years ago, and I am the second owner. So far it has been a very reliable vehicle. This weekend I am changing the OCV & AF Sensor, followed by a trip to the mechanic's to have the rear main seal replaced. Other than the routine tune ups and oil changes, I haven't had any problems out of her.

2002 RX300 AWD 225,000 miles. I'm the original owner and I couldn't ask for a better vehicle. I absolutly love my Lexi, she is the best vehicle I have ever owned. Work I have had done on her is the following:

Regular oil changes every 5 k.
Changed transmission oil and filter at 100k.
Replaced timing belt at 150k, water pump, thermostat and belts.
Just had the upper intake manifold cleaned out and gaskets replaced.
Spark plugs replaced.
Changed the lower o2 sencer.
and that's about it.

I will keep her hopefully for another 100k.

2001 rx300
135,000 miles
Original Owner

Work done:
Regular maintenance
Both Oxygen sensors

Problems:
Tire squeaks when I tilt the steering to the left
A/C works when it wants to(possessed?)
Ex: When I say feet, the air goes up
Also there is a small black square under the panel near the right passenger's leg space. It goes grrrrrrrrr all the time!

221,000. Mine is an '01 I've had for six years. Original spark plugs. Only issues were dirty air valves, a bad 02 sensor and lately, a strange steering issue, almost like torque steer. That one has me worried. Otherwise, a great car.

if your car year 2000 front honeycomb grille is not original is it right ? it's only available for 2001 silversport edition and 2002 coach edition

That is correct, I have a simulated Silversport / Coach Edition

All cladding was painted Black onyx
Black pearl emblems
The sport grill I purchased from ebay, and I had the dark grey painted black onyx
I also purchased a set of Coach seats with the perforated leather, from ebay

221K miles on the original spark plugs? No wonder the 02 sensors crapped, those plugs are not burning all the fuel creating havoc on the sensors. I would hate to be the technician that has to replace those plugs now. You better hope they are not seized into the aluminum head.

Love the reliabilty of Lexus but hated the grandpa ride and heavy lean into corners about to tip over every time I made turns. Dumped my 2000 RX for a 01 RX Silversport. Silver outisde with black perforated leather. It has had matte aluminum trim inside before aluminum trim became cool and had tighter suspension. The stock stereo sounds better than the current model and gets better MPG for an AWD model.

195k miles with Original engine and tranny.

I replaced:

Driver door lock actuator
Mass airflow sensor
Couple of rear light bulbs
VVt cam solinoid (1 bank)
Air blend door actuator
O2 sensor.

Love this forum and have to chime in, although with only 150K I feel like a baby. 3rd owner. Was a CPO. runs and drives like new. Only service was Tranny filter and fluid exchange(X2), timing belt/water pump, plugs, and the air-mix servo. Best vehicle I have ever owned.
