1999 AWD RX300. Original owner 147k miles. Original engine, original transmission. New timing belt (along with everything associated belts, water pump, pulleys). 1 new oil pressure sensor, new throttle body sensor (not sure if that was really needed), upper and lower O2 sensors, spot near catalytic converter rusted out and was welded, rear wheel bearing replaced (that was a bigger job than expected).

Soon to replace: ignition coils (1, maybe 2 coils)

Annoyances: servo motors, temperamental drivers door lock and window motor.

I have 209,500 miles now on my 2001 FWD RX300. It has the original engine and tranny. I've owned it since it was new and it has probably been the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Certainly one I've kept a long time. It still drives good and I look forward to driving it several more years. I talked to a friend that has a 2001 Toyota Highlander Limited with 286,000 miles, but had to change out the tranny awhile back. He had never changed the tranny fluid/screen though! These vehicles are made to last if you take care of it, it will take care of you.

220000, new tranny, just got codes p0420 and p446. need to figure out what causing that and need to replace water pump and all that involved with that. But overall my wife love her suv.

178,000 miles on my 1999 AWD.

No major issues whatsoever.

Recent works are all fluids, new tires, strut mounts, brakes.

I just need my struts replaced since my ride is starting to get really bouncy.

I have a 2000 RX 300 @206xxx and riding strong, qiuet, and smooth. Almost like new, well not like a new lexus but definetly put other cars to the test. I recently drove a 2010 chvy impala with 54xxx miles on it, and I swear my rx drove smoother, with just as much power as the impala. I was very impressed. No issues with the RX as far as engine or tranny shifs smooth and engine is quiet although will do a complete tune up after summer.

207,500 miles. 1999 AWD that went into service June 1998. Short block engine replaced at 86,000 miles and transmission replaced at 90,000, both under CPO warranty. The only issues at all in the past two plus years was one bad ignition coil and the air mode servo clicks occasionally. Runs really well and plan on sticking with it for the foreseeable future.

99 with just under 190,000 on the mileage. Original engine, overhauled transmission, new struts, front control arms, valve cover gaskets and plugs, and t belt is coming soon. All synthetic fluid with transmission drain and fill about once a year.

1999 AWD with 285,000 miles, original transmission, original engine. Purchased as certified in 2002 with 36,000 miles. Recently had fuel pump replaced and rear and main seals. Other than that, regular service- timing belt, oil changes, many tires and brakes. Still has a great ride!!!! I do not plan on giving it up.

Original owner 1999 RX300. Just hit 200k this week. Original engine and tranny. Oil change every 5k miles, tranny fluid change every 60k miles + regular maintenance. My RX is very dependable car, I love it.

Replaced:
1). Idle speed control on 100k miles
2). Central lock for driver side (waiting to be replaced)

This thread alone has 5 people who have 200k or more miles on the original transmission. One of whom who has 285k miles. Quite impressive if you ask me!

And, to add one more person with more than 200k miles, is my uncle's 99' AWD RX, with approx. 380k miles.

So, make that 6 people who have 200k or more on the original transmission!

If anything, this thread proves that it is possible to get high miles out of the stock transmission with no upgrades.

I am the 2nd owner. New the first personally. bought at 88K when he got a new 450h.
Everything is perfect except for:
1. 2nd Antenna chattering up and down. I replaced the original with after market as the dealer is a rip on parts. Will try to fix again myself soon.
2. The very common problem "D" light was out when I bought it.
Just got back from a 4000 mile vacation and after about 100 miles on dirt and gravel road and some crawling over a few miles of slick rock, in the Utah desert, the D ligtht now works!!

Repairs.
Power steering at 50k (under warrenty)
90k Timing belt and fuel pump etc.
120K- new plugs and had the front and rear struts done. Really helped on the washboard roads!
New front brakes and rotors.

My wife and I both love the ride and comfort for long trips. We go 360 miles every other Sat. to see Gramma and it make the trip enjoyable on our tush, instead of being totally exhausted when we do the same tip in our civic.

We also take ti skiing twice a week. I know its overkill but I run studded snows in winter. Truly amazing in deep and on the ice.
Summer tires are Michelin LTX with 40k on them and still have 7/16 tread all around. Will replace with same when down to 3/16. Always buy Michelin.

Hope to keep several more years and reach 200K

I have a 2002 RX300 AWD with 208,000 miles. It has the original engine and transmission. I've only had a few non routine maintenance items, although recently my check engine light went on with a P0420 code.

The P0420 is probably because of the oxygen sensor after the catalytic converter. Reset the code first though, and see if it returns.

Thanks Hypervish! I have had it reset by my mechanic and it did return. What is interesting is that it has also gone on and off on its own several times which suggests to me the exhaust stream been sensed is right on the trigger threshhold. Since I'm not due for an emissions test soon I don't feel a sense of urgency to repair it. However, when the CEL goes on the VSC indicator light also goes on. That seems odd to me since I don't know of any connection between an exhaust sensor and the VSC system.
