i got mine 4 months ago and i've put 10k miles. all i've done is change the atf 4 times, just because of what i read here....other than that...no problems so far...i love it

We have a 2002 Highlander V6 AWD (same powertrain as the RX300). After 100k miles no problems at all! Excellent SUV

Is that normal to have to change it 4 times per 10,000 miles, I don't see that on the maintenance charts that often ?

Good question and welcome to Club Lexus.

Reason why is that even if you do a drain and fill (and this goes for any vehicle) that you don't get all of the ATF fluid out of the system with just one drain and fill and it must be done more than once to clear most of the fluid out.
