2000 RX300 - 206,000 miles
This car has always been properly maintained by the dealer.
Started to lose the tranny at about 200000 miles and was able to continue to drive for another 6000 miles before getting the tranny replaced (total just under $5000 including 25% parts discount from Lexus.)
Otherwise I've had no problems with the car.

2003 RX300 - 256,000 miles no issues
Dad drove her for 4 years on his daily commute (100+ miles daily). Then I've had her for just almost three years. Never, knock on wood, had an issue. Simple maintenance and she drives just fine!!

That's impressive. My uncle's RX last time I saw was up at around 280k, I haven't looked at the miles for a while now, I'd think that by now he's up to 285-290k, I'll have to ask him this weekend. All of those miles are on the original transmission, it's a 99' with AWD.

99 AWD with around 80K+ miles
My wife's 99 AWD does not have as high milage of others. So far the only thing that needed was a sensor located under the battery tray. Did the timing belt recently and the old one looks brand new. Replaced the battery once and a new set of tires. One of the key did break and the rear left door lock does not lock properly. I do my own oil change with M1 and transmission oil change. I hope it will last for another 10 years.

Wow, I'm back in this thread from 2007! I had 56K then and now I'm all the way up to 75K. I've had no issues during this time except an new antenna mast and an o2 sensor plus maintenance and oil changes.
After consultation with my mechanic, I've decided to keep this car until the wheels fall off and in celebration I've ordered some 18" chrome wheels for it and some new headlights.
I had the driver's seat bolsters and armrest dyed and did a week long Leatherique treatment this summer, three applications during the week with trash bag covers. The leather is soft as butter now.
When the headlights arrive I'm having it detailed too. Love my RX300!

155,000 2001 AWD
highly maintained - fluids do not have a chance to get dirty in this baby
replaced 02 sensor ( Denso ) at 139k, new Iridium tip plugs at 105k, New rotors at 143,000
K&N Avg MPG 19.0
replaced T belt/water pump at 90 k - pump was at my option.
Drives like new - great car!
Will clean MAF sensor at next oil change.
D light out but no biggie. May change later

I've been following this forum for some time, but just "officially" signed up today.
My wife bought a 2002 RX300 AWD Coach brand new in August 2002.
It "officially" got handed to me this summer, when we traded in my car (a 2004 Highlander, with the same miles as the RX).
Dealer offered twice as much for the Highlander than the RX. We're no fools -- we knew the RX was a better car.
Serviced at Lexus for first 30k-or-so miles. Next 30k or so at the "quick lube" places... glad I put a stop to that when I did! From that point forward, serviced at local Toyota dealership (almost 1/2 the cost as the Lexus dealership).
We've always liked the RX300 better than any of the newer RX's... sure, the new ones have more fancy upgrades, etc, but the RX300 is in a class of its own.
My mother-in-law bought a new RX350 a month ago. I drove to the Lexus dealership to look at it. When I was pulling in, a woman kept staring at my RX. She was in a total-loss collision with her RX300, and was hoping that I was looking to sell...
Anyways, 131k. Lots of stuff replaced under the 100k warranty... 2 sensors needed replacing around 2 years ago, within a months time span... recently had a new water pump (replaced timing belt at the same time). Several brake jobs, misc. things... but hoping to keep it for many, many more years!

My wife's 2000 RX300 AWD has 120K on original engine and tranny.
Change oil every 3K, changed x-mission oil twice.
Changed timing belt and water pumps twice.
Changed VVIT solenoid valve at 90K (result of check engine light)
Changed shocks at 90K (suppose to change in 60K per Lex)
Changed brake rotors & pads 80K
Changed battery at 80K
Now, I have exhaust leak (mid pipe some where), key fob is intermittent, and front seat is cracking on the side.
Other than that it runs great.

I have over 129,000 miles on my 2000 RX 300, still runs very smooth. The only problems I have are 3 doors actuators not working, one broken power window switch, power mirrors, memory seat, cigarrete lighter not working and power antenna mask broken. The driver side leather seat got a little rip plus other seats showed some wrinkles. I paid too much for too many problems. The engine and the tranny still good.

High Milelage
I currently have 147k, the RX has been a great auto. The battery finally died at 12 years , I will replace the water pump and timing belt this year. Overall, with recommended maintenance and all the advice here your RX, should go 250,000. I have never taken my RX to the shop, most jobs can be done at home , with the right tools and knowledge Thanks to all who contribute

Just bought a 2003 RX300 with 96k miles for my 16 YO son...from a dealer who had done all the service including timing belt. Wife drives a 2012 RX350 so we like these vehicles (I drive an FJ). Hoping to get some years out of this 2003!
