Transmission cooler and Transmission Flush

I would not do a flush, but a fluid exhange. The AWD takes about 9 qts. So with a flushing machinge you will need about 11. And use only Toyota Type IV or AMsoil...no substitute.

I HAVE A 2005 RAV 4 (FAIRLY SIMILAR VEHICLE) WITH AWD. I ADDED ON AN ADDITIONAL TRANNY COOLER AFTER THE FACTORY COOLER. I ALSO HAVE USED AMALIE UNIVERSAL TRANNY FLUID WITH NO PROBLEMS. (LINK http://www.amalie.com/specs/index.ht..._trans_cvt.pdf). I PLAN ON DOING A CHANGE SOON AND WILL FLUSH AND USE WALMARTS SUPERTECH DEX VI THAT IS SUITABLE FOR T-IV APPLICATIONS.

Where did you install the second cooler,in the front of the condenser? If you did, make sure you have some space between the cooler and the condenser.Or it will affect your a/c.
