I was wondering if anybody tried using 235/75/16 on 2000 RX300 stock rims. Is there any clearence issues with this size tire? ie. clearing rear struts. I do know that 235/70/16 fits just perfect with little room to spare. Thanks.

Sorry, I draw from my experience, which is 235/60/18 mounted on 18x7 rims with +42 offset. I have a rub if not using a spacer.
Using stock rim you should not rub, Lexmex and many others have used 235 tires. But your overall diameter will be bigger by using wider tire with taller profile, your odo and speedo will be both slower.
As TunedRX300 mentioned, I have been using 235-70-16 CrossTerrains, for almost 5 years, no problems.
Where one will have issues is with 245-70-16s that can rub.
Thinking about this, I think there might be an issue with the 75s because I know that on some bumps they might indeed hit that the bottom of the strut. I can guarantee that in Mexico City with the ridiculous potholes and speedbumps.
Mex would those 235-70-16s give a flatter neater look, the stock Goodyear's that I like for ride and quietness are sort of rounded off to me. With these big wheel wells not sure what would look cooler without going to larger rims for which I don't want to spend the $

I care, with routine preventive maintenance, my baby's worth it! My comments are just my personal opinion.

I saw an RX300 down here over Christmas and it had the stock tires and I remember noticing that they did look thinner, then again maybe because my RX is black it is tough to make a determination on looks.
I will say this, when I first switched from the 225s to 235s about 4.5 years ago, I remember feeling an immediate difference. Felt a little more like I was sitting on a tank than in a car. Problem is that with the 235s you have less treadwear than the 225 Michelins CrossTerrains in my case.
from the responses i have read, it seems like people are thinking that 235/75/16 on a stock rim might/will rub the bottom of the strut. thanks for your input. i think i will get 235/70/16 for it.
