I am doing the zaino process on my RX today and in the process found a ripped part on the inside of my rear, passenger door. I am in a rage right now - makes me want to puke. I wish I had a digital camera to show you guys what it looks like, then again I don't want to have to look at it

The ironic thing is that I am always trying my best to guard my car against the carelessness of others and this was caused by me! I think it happened when I was moving my computer to my dorm last weekend. The monitor tipped sideways while I was driving and must have hit the door. Now there is an area (dime sized) on the door panel that is punched in. It is the outermost part of the door panel.

Does anyone know if the whole door panel will have to be replaced? I don't see any way that this can be repaired. How much would it cost to replace the door panel? Everything else about the door panel looks brand new. Dammit!!

That sux - why dont you go to two lexus dealers and see what they have to say? Maybe they can just repair the damage without having to replace the whole inside panel.

Yeah, I think that is going to have to be my first step. I will check with my Lexus dealer Monday.

Thanks for the support guys I have classes until 4:20 on Tuesdays and Thursdays so I will have to wait until Wednesday to go over to the dealership and see what they say

These scratches do **** me off. I can't wait until I can buy a new car and baby it while I drive around a seperate daily driver.

I went to the dealer this past Wednesday and the service guy at Butler Lexus in Macon said that there was a guy who did patch work on leather who came by every Wednesday. I can call and have my RX taken care of - for around $100. It won't be perfect, but will be better.
