Supercharger system for RX300

I am almost positive that the Toyota/Lexus V6 is the same configuration in the Camry, Solara, ES300 and the RX300. Toyota Racing Developement (TRD) has a supercharger system for the Camry that probably would bolt right on to the RX300. This is a very clean install designed for the lower hoodline of the Camry. Check it out here:

The RX300 has a transverse mounted V6 just like the Camry. The supercharger parts are all on the top of the engine so tranny differences on 2WD vs 4WD shouldn't be a problem.

I had an RX300 loaner this weekend, nice truck, silver blue with black leather and wood trim. The engine compartment has a ledge over the back of the intake that MAY interfere with the supercharger fitment. My first guess is it should still fit. This would be very cool, especially on a 4wd model.

I wonder if Steve Ganz could address this question for us...
To tell you the truth, I've been bugging over the lack of torque and speed coming from my RX of late. Especially when you have a monster like the GS400 to compare with on a daily basis, it's looking staler than ever. I wouldn't mind paying 33 hundred to make that truck faster. I hope Steve brings some good news soon.

The Camry/Sienna superchargers would probably fit,but it's the fuel system that's the problem. With the exception of the LX 450 and 470,all 96-on Lexus vehicles have the fuel pressure regulator in the fuel tank, whereas Camry/Sienna/older ES300s have the regulator on the engine. Why does that matter? The regulator requires a vacuum/boost signal from the engine in order to increase fuel...the in-tank regulator doesn't work that way.

sounds like a minor problem
I am sure any custom shop would be glad to tackle the job. ANY car can have a turbo/SC mounted on it, it's just a matter of how much trouble it will be and how much $$$ it will take. The SC isn't directly designed for the RX but sounds like a close match. I say everyone interested write/call TRD and let them know there is an interest for a SC package to be designed for the RX 300.
