Has anybody herd what changes there might be for the 2002 model RX300? Hopefully perforated leather available on all models, maybe bring back a red, steering wheel radio controls etc (dream on).

Default See if you can wait....

Billyboy,

You can check out all the car mags now and sites. They just said that minor changes have been made. If you can wait until the fall of 2002 or earlier, then we will see the newly revampled 2003. I like the Silversport version now, but can wait to see what the new 2003 is like and I hope they give it more power and a ML AUDIO / NAV package.

They will add more features on the inside, but I hope they offer a sports version and more power and not make the mistake of not adding power, like they did with the new 2002 ES300.

Waiting is good, but it's tough too! Good luck!

Exclamation 2003 RX......I would absolutely wait if I were you!

I am willing to bet the ranch, that they will definitely add the Mark Levinson and the excellent DVD Navigation package. I'm also almost positive they'll put in a 5-speed auto, reduce interior ambient noise, and all the current "goodies" will carry over and might have some things like "rain sensing wipers" found on the new ES 300. However, what really concerns me is that Lexus has recently been setting a trend of not revamping the engine. The new LS 430 remained at 290bhp, now the new ES remains at 210bhp. This really worries me. (I am really hoping against this for the new RX 300!!)

Same feeling here. Both 01'QX4 and 01'MDX have 240hp, so 03'RX should have at least 240 plus hp.

And 01'TL- typeS has 260hp and 02' I35 has 240+hp. So I thought Lexus would give 02'ES at least 220hp (like RX) But I was wrong.

I bet Lexus think 220hp would be too much on ES and properly enough for RX. So I bet we will see 03'RX with 220hp again...

The local Lexus dealer gave me a 2002 brochure by mistake. I'm no expert but the only thing that looks new to me is a DVD nav system.
