I was wondering if any of u guys take ur RX off road at all (serious or not). We always get RX300s as loaners when we take the SC and GS in, and i always take the RX slight off road when i can get it from my mom. Im really not allowed to drive it (sumthing about insurance for LEXUS and a 16 yr. old male), but my mom lets me. When i drive it, i just try to drive slow so i dont have a wreck, etc. When i take it off road, its not like serious off roading or anything (we usually only get the front WD model), but u do have to drive over some branches, etc. There is this one point in th etrail, where u have to cross a small creek and it always seems like i can here the bottom of the RX scraping the ground, whereas when i take my moms 97 4Runner on the trail, it clears everything fine. I know the 4Runner is based off the Tacoma, but i was wondering if any of u guys take ur RX off road, and if so, what mods have u done to it?

Umight be wondering y i drive the SC cause it sounds like i like to go off roading, but the truth is i only go like once every 3 months and its not serious or anything. I do like to have a change in driving conditions. The SC is my road racing vehicle, and the 4Runner is my off raod condition vehicle. I like the SC soo much more though.

The most off roading that I have done is when the tire finds it's way off the driveway I think that many studies have been done that say that the SUV group gets off roading, on purpose, about 5-10%. I have actually had my RX on dirt trails/roads and it rides well. The nice thing about FWD is that where ever the front wheels go the back will catch up sooner or later 7in ground clearance is plenty for most stuff, but you may want bigger tires like 255/65 16 SUV tires not the car tire that we get standard.
