Question

I got my driver's side seat back replaced this morning at my dealership, (ALL UNDER WARRENTY).
I was in a rush to leave the dealership and didn't check to see if all the controls on the seat were working. When I tried the lumbar support it would not work at all. All the other controls work fine but not the support. I was able to pull away the seat's side plastic and noticed the wire plug was not connected to the lumbar switch. I reconnected the plug but N/G. Still no-go. It was to late to call the service department so I called my salesman. He said to call a little before 8 a.m. tomorrow morning to see if I could bring it in. He said they probably would be able to look at it.
Any input on repairing this trouble would be greatly appreciated.

PS The fuse is good. All the seat controls work off the same fuse.

Talking It's fixed!

I took it upon myself on Saturday to fix the trouble with the lumbar support. I found that the plug connecting the lumbar switch to the wiring harness had not been secured completely. I secured the connection and BINGO!... it works.

Default Why did they replace the seat?

My driver seat leather is cracking. I take good care using the lexus products... but its cracking. Do you think they will replace it? I have a 2000 RX with 15K miles.

Jmezo,
I can't speak for Lexus but 15K miles doesn't seem to be a lot of mileage. The leather should not be cracking with so little usage. My RX300 had 32K miles on it when they offered to replace the drivers side seat back. When I mentioned it to them I did not push the subject. I just asked them if they could do something about it because the seat showed quite a bit of ware compared to all the other seats. All you can do is ask. the worst they can do is say no.
Good luck...
