Hello all: My 2001 Lexus RX300 is generating constant electrical hash heard only when I am monitoring AM Aircraft. Standard AM radio is fine, FM broardcast is OK, VHF high/low and UHF are fine. I have the noise on my Uniden BC-200xlt whether using the rubber ducky or an external antenna; also hearing the same noise on my Yaesu VX5-R, FT-8100R, FT3000m. The noise is generated whether the truck is running or not, and is there when the key is in the ignition and the truck is in auxillary position. It does not appear to be ignition noise (doesnt have to be running), alternator whine (agn not running and much lower pitched). It does not vary with engine speed. I walked around the truck with the HT unsquelched and found the noise most prevalent when I bring the HT near ANY vehicle wiring. It was particularly pronounced near the fuse and relay boxes and every wiring harness. I like to listen to AM aircraft from the vehicle and am really bummed by this. Does anyone have any thoughts or suggestions? I am thinking the on-board vehicle computer is doing this. BTW I checked another truck, same year/make and it does the same thing. I do not expect any help from Lexus/Toyota.
Thanks folks.

Try the Lexus folks, you may be pleasantly surprised.
I can only think of the PCM based communication that goes on between various ECUs and components on the RX.
Lexus for a long time would not switch to the digital cell phones as the frequencies interfered with the OBD electronics.
