Anyone got window tint? (front side windows of RX300s) What colors work best?
I have been looking around several places, but none
have anything that comes close to the factory mirrored
type tint on the rear windows.
Any suggestions?

I just got the front side windows tinted in Houston at Star and the outside is an exact match. The inside is just as dark but has a blueer cast to it. I don't know what they used, but I think it looks great. I never liked the two-tone look from the outside.

Dealer in NY does the tinting
I called the dealers in NY\NJ a couple of months ago when I wanted to get my front-windows done. The dealer in BayRidge told me he would do it for about $200, which is pricey. I am looking around for a private shop to get it done. I remember somebody posting the
3M item code for the silver tint in the Edmunds site but that was a while back and I could't find it. Anyway I am sure if you call a few of the dealers in the big cities you should find it.

My friend and I were riding down the highway (I-85 for those in Atlanta). I was in my friends vette (corvette not chevette
) and I rolled down the passenger side window while an RX was beside us (there was a wreck ahead so traffic was crawling). He had his front windows tinted and they were very close to the original tint but had a slightly different shade (slightly more gold than stock but still mirrored). So, I said "sir" a couple times and he just looked straight ahead and ignored me. His window was partially down. It was an older fellow.
I was going to ask him where he had the tint job done and what kind of tint it was. I guess he saw me acting goofy b/f on the highway - he wouldn't look over at me. Oh well, I was hoping to have some more information on tinting. Sorry guys.
