I was stopped next to it at a toll-booth. The ML had
3 or 4 old people in it and I was by myself in my RX300.
I floored the gas and the ML did so at the same moment.
We went up to around 90mph before they slowed down
and was in the lane next to me.... I still can't get over
the grins on their old white-beared faces....

A race between a RX 300 and ML 320 should be very close. Motor Trend has the RX 300 w/awd 0-60 at 8.7 and 1/4 mile at 16.7 .
The Ml320 w/4wd 0-60 at 9.0 and 1/4 mile at 16.8 .
You should have definetly won since you had no extra weight and the ML 320 did. Are you sure it wasn't a 430? But i guess you read his badges so you know what it is.
I guess whoever gets the jump will win in this situation. Just wait to SRT get there intake out and TC and you should win the next time around.
