Well, for 2003, expect more seating...

I'd be a little be nervous about Lexus first transition to North America production leaving the awards and accolades of the Kyushuu plant in Japan.
I disagree that the cost will be lower to the consumer. Even USA Toyotas have $1K - $3K premiums over a Honda competitor - Don't expect a drop!

I too worry about the move to North America for the RX. The plant in Japan seems like it is one of the best with quality. But, since it is coming to the U.S. maybe I will have more of a chance to visit the plant. I am just glad mine was shipped from Japan

The next RX300 will be assembled in the new Toyota
factory in Canada.
Personally, I would not buy vehicles made during
the first couple of model years from a new plant,
Toyota or otherwise.
I think they will maintain the RX300's current level
of pricing. Any savings in manufacturing cost from
moving to Canada will only be passed into the pockets
of Toyota/Lexus and its dealers.
