I'M THINKING ABOUT POSSIBLY PURCHASING A HOOD DEFLECTOR FROM " IRON TOAD". BUT I HAVE NOT ACTUALLY SEEN ONE, ON AN RX300, IN PERSON.
IF ANY OF YOU HAVE PERSONALLY SEEN THE HOOD DEFLECTOR, ON AN RX300, COULD YOU PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF IT LOOKS GOOD OR SHOULD I PASS ON THIS.
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE

I saw one on the motor trend or other magazines (I forgot which one). It doesn’t really looks good and it comes only with black (I guess).
I think front mask is more useful. I am thinking of getting one and paint it with 2 tone color so it will match my RX’ color. Crazy ideal aha !

Don't do it! A nose mask is even worse than the
hood deflector.....
The only time I'd ever put a nose mask on any
vehicle is when I plan to drive to Alaska, via Yukon.
I wish 3M would make the custom clear protector
for the front end, like they did for the BMW X5 and Z3.
Once applied, it's virtually invisible.

I'm actually getting the WeatherTech hood deflector from another RX owner who changed his mind, I'll see how it looks and then decide whether to put it on. But the Rex needs something, I've got two stone chips already.
I'm not crazy about the idea of putting the Scotchcal film on the hood of my car, I see how that stuff traps grease/dirt on the lower panels of my Pontiac Grand Am.

I'll have to agree with sleepybobcat, i don't care for the bug deflectors on the RX either. I know what Francis is talking about with the picture of the RX in motortrend (also in CarandDriver and various other automotive magazines). That one doesn't look too bad. There is another one (irontoad i think) that covers the whole front of the hood that is absolutely hideous.
True it does protect the hood, which it needs. I will just deal with the flying debris and not have a shield. I like the look without. Really a personal preference though.

I have the 3M plastic put on. I must say not only is it barely visible, it has saved me from a lot of damage from stone/rock, and parallel parking. It is well worth the investment. It definatley is a much much better alternavtive than the bras or the hood deflector. All the RX loaner at my Chgoland dealership have these as well. xpel.com has alot more info if you are interested. However, a cheap place to buy these are from clearmask.com, same stuff, but much cheaper. I paid $400 installed for mine, it included front bumper, hood, side mirrors, back bumper both on top and back.
The darker the color of the vehicle, the less visible they are. I have a silver, hardly noticable
