Unhappy Windows not working after battery is replaced

My battery died and was replaced with a new one. After that, the passenger window cannot be controlled by the driver's side, and worse still, the rear windows doesn't work at all.

Is there a reset function I could use, or did a fuse blow? Please help! Thanks.

Make sure the "child-proof" button isn't depressed. It is the small button next to driver's side lock button. That'd lock out all windows except driver's side.

Here this is from the Manual:

If the battery is disconnected or run down

The power windows may not operate automaticaly and the jam protection function will not function correctly after you reconnect, replace or recharge the battery. At this time, the indicator lights of the switches will flash. In any of these cases, you should normalize the power windows

1. Push down the power window switches of each door and lower the windows halfway.

2. Pull the switches until the windows close and hold the switches for a second.

________________________________

The moon roof may not operate automaticlly and the jam protection functon will not function correctly after you reconnect, replace or recharge the battery. In any of these cases, you should normalize the moon roof.

To normalize the moon roof, push and hold the switch on the "TILT UP" side until the moon roof tilts all the way up and then tilts down a little automatically.

This just happened to my IS250.
Thank God for this forum.

Does anyone know why this phenomenon occurs?
Because I changed my ES300 battery a few months ago, and this never happened to the ES300's power windows...

Thank You Very Much

IMO this default -might- do two things:

Get some service $ for dealers and perhaps CYA for legal problems from sue-happy idiots?

There is a technical reason ... With power windows and single flick (and sun-roof) one has to have a pinch protection ... the motor should back-up on seeing a resistance ... childs hand in the way etc.

The memorized limit is lost on the removal of +12v. So the system starts out with minimum settings.
