Anyone have to replace theirs in an RX 300 2002 or older? I was curious to know if you looked for stronger ones through the dealer or somewhere else..?

I had the struts replaced on my 2001 RX. The gate would open and go up about half way. Then it would just stop. You would have to push on the gate to open it the rest of the way. Mine was still under warranty. So they were replaced on my last visit to the dealer. From what ive read. The price to changef them isnt cheap. About 500 dollars with labor.
