Question

Hi, I'm new here and I own a '99 RX300. Green just incase you wanted to know. But anyways I really want to really fix it up, make it stand out. I found the rodmillenstore.com site and saw the custome front grill. I have the gold package on my car and was wondering if the emblem could be changed so that it would match the other ones. Please reply! Thank you.

I am just guessing, but the grille you buy form them probably has no emblem, just a space where you can put in your old one that you pop off of the old grille. If it does come with a regular emblem, then I am sure you can take it right off and replace it with yours, email or call them...they'll know the answer for sure

I went to www.rodmillenstore.com . Try going there 91maxima, click on RX300 and Aerodynamics. It says that it comes with an emblem. I e-mailed them already but have yet since gotten a reply.

TN3 - I know what you mean about them RMM boys. They just take there time answering email . With my dealings with them they average about a week if they ever answer.

Well, i own a GS 300 with gold package and have ordered my RMM grill . Just waiting for it to come in. I beleive you can get it gold plated. Will let you know for sure once i get the grill in my hands.

If it can't be gold plated i will buy a gold emblem from the dealer and stick it in the grill. I will keep you informed as i go about this little dilemna.

TN3 - Wow its been a whole month . Well what took so long was the grill was shipped a week later than expected . And the body shop was taking there time painting the grill.

But the grill comes with a o.e.m. lexus emblem. So you can get it goldplated . It cost me 29.00 + tax to get it done . Got it done today and it matches perfect with the rest of the emblems.

Would of got back too you earlier but wanted to be sure it would work.

If you got anymore questions just yell.

Thanks for the reply, I thought you had forgot about me already. See I was going to put it on my RX300 and you said it had to get painted? I thought it was just suppose to be a silver grill. And where did you get it gold plated at? Please reply. Thank you so much, since the RMM guys never returned my e-mail.

TN3 - No i didn't forget about you. I'm not like them RMM boys I just wanted to get everything right before i posted again.

Yes you have to get it painted. The grill is made from polyurethane which is black. My cousin saw it before it got painted and was wondering why it was so dull looking. I told him it wasn't painted yet.

You have to get it sanded , primed , and the painted. I heard RMM use to paint it for you but the paint job quality was lacking.

While it was getting painted i took the emblem with me. It comes in a little bag. I looked in the yellow pages for a shop under the heading : automobile customizing and restoration.

There were 2 shops listed that were close to my house. The first 1 i called thought i was calling for the local Toyota dealer. The second didn't answer. But since the first one did work for the local dealers around here i had them do it for me.

It was 29 + tax which i thought was reasonable.

Did you order it yet? I recommend Mariusz if you didn't yet. His email : Mariuszjedra@home.com He has the best prices for rmm stuff.

Also if you can't find a place where your at to goldplate the emblem you can mail it to me and i will let the guys that did it for me handle it.
