Default Iphone charging

Anyone out there tell me which charging adapter you are using to charge y our iphone is the 17 RX350? I have a iphone7 and am wondering what is being used out there. Thanks, my smart phone expertise is somewhat limited. Other question is how long does it take to do a complete charge in the vehicle?

Get and use a good 12v adapter in one of the four power points.
The USB ports do provide 500 milliamp (.5 amp) but the connection
will confuse the Bluetooth communication by supplying Music content
separately from the telephone/traffic apps.

Be aware that all the ports, 12v and USB are off when the car is
off, you cannot leave a phone or device plugged in and expect it to
be charged when you return.

Your charge speed depends on how much power the charger can provide and how much the phone can accept. I would get a good charger with at least 2.1 Amps per usb port, if it had multiple ports. Anything less will extend the charging time.

Not sure about Apple, but I have an original Samsung fast charge charger with 2 usb ports. It chargers my Samsung Note 5 in about 30 - 45 minutes from empty to 100%.

Default charger

It appears that apple does not make a 12 volt charger, at least on their store web site. Some I found on Amazon have a 10% failure rate and the packaging does not state it is apple certified. These iphones are too pricey to take a chance with a faulty charger. Anyone use a iphone??

I think I have purchased about 5 of these in the past few months. They're among the lowest profile chargers around and Aukey products are high quality.

Works without any hiccups! Anker is one of the best out there that even their cables are rated safe to use for the Iphone.

+1 on Anker. They are the only chargers I use in the car or home.

Have had excellent results with any of the Anker products.

I went through multiple 4.8A usb plugs, including Anker brand. None of them will put out that much power when you have two devices connected.

I got one of these, which will actually provide way more power, plugs, and distance:

Default USB iPhone Charging

2016 Lexus RX 450h

My wife yesterday tried to charge her iphone using one of the USB ports. It did not work. iPhone said to install an application that made no sense to me.

How do you charge an iPhone on this ca using USB? How do you charge an Android Phone this car using USB?

Also I read somewhere that some of these vehicles have a wireless charging pad?????

I don't have that. Was that an extra????

Can someone explain how to use these USB ports.

No information in the manuals/

Thanks

You just plugin your USB charging cable into one of the two USB ports and the phone will start charging - there is no need to install anything. Make sure your charging cable is good and ignition or accessory mode is on. From what I hear the wireless charging is standard on non-US RX models but it's very slow so it's better to get your own wireless charging pad and plug it into the cigarette lighter or USB port.

You are better off ordering a cigarette lighter USB charger since the built in USB ports in the car charge very slowly at 0.5A, just like the OEM wireless charger.

I use the Aukey Slim because of their low profile and decent 2.4A mps rating. I actually installed them all on all three outlets (1-forward of the shifter, 1 inside the center console and 1- behind the center console). Although, I and the wifey only uses the one on the center console with the cable permanent attached. I use long cables so she can just let her phone sit at her tablet pocket on her side while my stays inside the center console.
