Default 2016 Rx450h vibration at 130kph/80mph

Hello, I am on the market for a 2016 RX 450h, and I test drove one today. The car had the ecopia tires and while the experience was awesome I did notice vibration in the seat and the car at 130 140 kmh. Did any of you guys experiece this, is it because of the ecopias? Thank you.

I have the same experience with the Ecopias. I can't wait to switch to my Michelin winter tires.

Hmm, is it really from the tires? My worries are that it's something with the car.

People with Michelin can chime in. I will know more when I install winter tires.

Good to know. The dealer didn't have the car I wanted in stock so I ended up driving the car of one of the staff. Maybe the car had an alignment problem. I drove a 450h Executive.
Mdme, does your car have the adaptive suspension? The Executive has only the regular suspension.

I'm gonna go out to the car and check what tires are on it for sure, but 80MPH is a sweet spot on our RXh. Smooth as silk. I often catch myself driving that fast because it is so smooth.

Thank you David. Do you have the FSport model? The reason I started this thread is that the car I drove was quite bad starting at 80 mph. Strong vibration in the seat and the whole car on the same pavement, no lane changes etc.

I was surprised to find that I've got a vibration in mine as well, from 78-84 mph. Smooth as can be except in that range. I've got the luxury package with Michelins. Going in for 5k service this week, will bring this up with the dealer.

Were any of you guys able to fix the vibration issue at Hwy speed? Tested a 450h F Sport this week and no vibrations at all. Could it be because of the AVS suspension?

From personal experience on a few cars over the years, chances are one of the four wheel/tire needs to be re-balanced, likely one of the two rear since you mention no vibration in the steering column. Have your Lexus dealer check this out.

I had mine re balanced twice. The dealer and corporate finally said that this is "normal".
