Does anyone know the specifications needed for the video file? I would like to replace that Lexux Enform startup video.
According to this
the 12.3" screen resolution is 1280 x 480. So it seems that the 8" screen would be 800 x 480.

Can a movie also be uploaded? I'd love to add a short clip of f-sport gauge in acceleration mode

PS The resolution for an image should be :
12.3x = 1280
x=104.065 ppi
104.065 * 8 inches = 832.5px in width
results with 832.5px by 480px

I doubt many owners have delved into this subject, but I thought I would ask. I would be surprised if the dealership has ever had this question before.

Don't use the SD slot, for navigation only. Must be from a USB stick.

Edit: I did not notice the 3 pages... so disregard since it has already been responded!

Default Pics

Hi all,
I am new here, I have a 2016 RX 350 without navigation. I am attempting upload a pic to display all the time (or at this point anytime). I created a folder called images, saved a jpeg there and tried to copy it onto the car. It said, there are no compatible files and to read the owner's manual to see which files it can read. I can't find it anywhere, any help getting it to work would be greatly appreciated.

TIA

The file folder name should be "Image" and not "Images". It should be in the root directory of the USB. Make sure the USB size is 32gb or less and formatted with FAT16 or FAT32. The formatting is crucial and the system can only read this kind of files. And finally, the pic should be less than 10Mbyte in size in jpeg format.

Thanks so much.....I got it to work but the pic is turned sideways and it was not saved like that. Also, I set it as start up and screen off image but it's not working for start up. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Try another pic that was originally taken as "portrait" orientation. If the pic you uploaded was originally taken in "landscape" orientation and eventually rotated using photo editing software, the pic file will still be oriented sideways. Also try setting the pic first as a start up and see it that will make it work. In my case, I have a different pic for start up and one for off screen and both works.

Will try it all, thanks! Do you know how to make the screen off the default or do I have to choose that every time?

But that is exactly the reason you put your ugly face in there so when police recovers it, there's no doubt it belongs to you! Unless, of course the thief is smarter than you and put his uglier face in place of yours!

I put a picture of my family up last night no problems. Make sure the file name is not more than 24 characters and the folder name is "image" , case sensitive .

Sorry for bringing up an old thread. Thought better than starting a new one.
Should this work with a 2019 without Nav. Having no luck.

2019 should work the same as the other years. Did you follow Jiggz858's post #36 above?

Gee, I am totally impressed that Apple would even allow the use of Fat32 vs some proprietary format that keeps it from interfacing with the real world. Must be scary for Apple nuts to venture out into the Windows/Android/Samsung/Amazon world.
