My 2017 is not scheduled to be built until the week of Jan. 23rd. Looking ahead, I'm wondering if I should just hang onto the organizer from my 2012 before I trade it in.

Think it will fit?

Just take it to a dealer and try it on the showroom car.

The 2012 organizers kinda fit but it wont sit flush like it's supposed to. I stopped using them after a week.

I would just cut off the front part of that tray and only use the larger rear tray. A band saw would be very useful to make this cut.

Is this cheaper one EXACTLY the same one quality-wise as the higher priced unit that so many others have spoken so highly of? I don't mind saving a few bucks as long as I am getting the very highest quality possible.

Kajnbabe, four post's up, shows a photo and it appears to be exactly like the one sold on ebay. You might want to ask her the same question you asked me.

I ordered one from this eBay listing a couple of months back. It looks exactly the same one as shown here. I paid $17 for it.
