Default Totaled 2016 RX350 F Sport - No one injured, disappointed at myself

Reminder to everyone to drive safe out there.

Totaled my car on the way to work, 3 car collision, chain reaction more or less, I was the last vehicle. I will skip out on most of the details and go straight to the pictures. Thank goodness my 10 month old son was not in the car, I would have lost it.

Got the car Christmas Eve and just got confirmation that it is totaled (which I was hoping for anyways) still very disappointed in myself for the entire incident even though imo it was not my fault.

Things to note:
-Our cars have SO MANY air bags, even the knees. Incredible. All front and rear airbags deployed.
-Lexus Enform is amazing. I called 911 as soon as this happened as I was stumbling on the side of the freeway but I was placed in queue. As I walked back towards my car at least 2 mins after I stepped away and I hear the Lexus Enform guy talking to me saying that he can see airbags have been deployed and he is sending help. He asked if I needed a tow, ambulance, etc. All around grateful for this service.

-Jon

The important part is that you're OK. Did you have the Lexus safety system plus? I wonder how that would work in a situation like this ?

I was wondering why I hadn't heard from you about the Thule rack. Now I know. That's a bummer. Thanks for the post though. It's not often that we get to hear first hand accounts about the safety of a car.

I am really sore, but trying to focus on the positives. No one was seriously injured, everyone walked away from the incident.

Thule roof rack came the same day I totaled the car and what hurts more is my thule t2 pro hitch rack came the day after.

A friend of mine also jokingly said that at least I did not go full ceramic tint as I planned two couple weeks ago, otherwise that would have been even more $$ down the drain.

Glad to see you are OK. The car can be replace and I know it hurts to see your baby like that but you are more important to your family.

Good to know you are okay as well as everyone else. Also good to know that Lexus Enform does deliver as well as their airbags.
My wife has it on her 2013 GS350. I've always renewed it but she has never used it. Just glad to know that the service is there.

Thanks for sharing.

Wow, glad you're ok. Looks like that minor fender bender won't buff out... Will u be getting the same car as a replacement?

At any time, did the PCS (Pre-Collission System) kick in at all in your situation?

SFocLA, sorry your F-Sport is gone after a few brief months. The RX took quite the impact. Please get checked for soft tissue injury. That might explain the soreness. And try not to be too hard on yourself. It was a very unfortunate accident. I have a feeling you'll be back with another F-Sport. For now though, take care of yourself. That's what's most important in the end.
