Part of my new car deal included, at my request, body side moldings for my silver 2016 RX. Today the dealer emailed that they are on backorder. I'm fine with that really...I had them installed on my wife's 2015 car about 2 months after we got it. Just wondering if anyone else has tried to order them etc.

eBay has oem. lexus dealers sell them on eBay. Better price too.

Absolutely correct OEM. I have the new brown and the dealer had to special order them but received quickly

My Massachusetts dealer installed the body side molding on my autumn shimmer RX prior to delivery last week. I think that our salesman was surprised that he could get them and the mudguards as he indicated earlier in the week that they would be on a "We Owe" list.

I tried 3 different dealers in Phoenix for Eminent White body side moldings, including one showing them on ebay, and all 3 said they are being held for port installs with no ETA for purchase.

I haven't heard from my dealer about the body side moldings that I paid for when I bought my RX about 6 weeks ago. Before I contact them about the backorder (I wasn't told about the backorder until a day after I drove the car home, but to be fair it wouldn't have stopped my purchase), I'd like to know if anyone has any updated info from elsewhere on this. My car is silver if that matters.

UPDATE: my dealer now has the moldings and I'll post a photo after they are installed, soon.

Did you install them yourself or did they dealer do it? If you did it how hard are they to install? And if the dealer did how much $ for them to install? Thanks!

Installed them myself. Measured a few times before I put them on. Not too bad, it just takes patience and time.
